We are searching for Software Design Engineers to participate in the development of educational applications for the Java platform. You will be part of a growing team of engineers that are contributing to the development of the next generation of TI’s educational products.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Development, maintenance, and feature enhancement of quality software components for the teacher and student applications written in Java.
- Develop unit tests for desktop software applications.
- Work with US-based software team in investigating and resolving application issues.

The ideal candidate will have:
-BS/MS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented design.
- Strong programming skills in Java.
- Experience developing cross-platform Java applications using Swing and JNI.
- Knowledge of unit testing concepts and tools such as JUnit.
- Familiarity with networking environments and protocols.
- Familiarity with Software Configuration Management techniques.

Also is required:
- Good inter-personal skills.
- Excellent teaming and collaboration skills for working in a cross functional team environment.
- Fluency in the English language both written and spoken.
- Availability to travel to the U.S.
- Availability to relocate in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
